Sony α99 coming Sept 12?

The rumored Sony A99 possibly in the hands of National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita in Yosemite, >according to Sony Alpha Rumors.

A 24MP, full-frame DSLR is anticipated from Sony, according to >Sony Alpha Rumors. The Sony A99 is expected to be announced on September 12, 2012 with an availability around the end of October. The price is estimated to be around $2,800.

Sony already has a 24MP DSLR (the A77, with a list price of $1,399.99) but that uses a smaller APS-C format sensor.

technically, the a77’s MSRP is NOT $1999.99... it’s $1399.99 The $1999.99 price includes a 16-50mm f2.8 lens.
