McWay Cove Waterfall along Big SurThis is a real ‘’PhotoSecret’ that you can easily drive past without seeing. The slender idyllic waterfall plunges 50 feet directly into the Pacific Ocean ’like milk from a pitcher’. It is one of only two Californian waterfalls that flow into the ocean - the other, Alamere Falls, is in Point Reyes but is less attractive and accessible.McWay Cove is part of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The fall is just visible from Highway 1 but if you didn’t know it was there you wouldn’t see it. | | /> |
