In 1920, Walter and Cordelia Knott rented 20 acres in Buena Park for a farm. They developed the "boysenberry," built a restaurant and, to entertain diners, relocated to the property an old "ghost town" hotel in 1940. Today, with 165 rides on 150 acres, Knott's Berry Farm is America's oldest theme park and the 12th most-visited amusement park in the country.
