PS
Two of my favorite things to do are traveling and taking photos. That's why I've spent the bulk of my life as a professional travel photographer. In this free, "online book," I'm going to reveal how you can take great travel photos. Welcome to PhotoSecrets Travel Photo Tips.

A popular question I receive is:

"I'm going to (some place) very soon. I want to come back with fabulous photos. Can you give my some travel photo tips?"

101 Tips for Travel Photographers
There's a school of thought that says the secret of successful location photography is simply a matter of "f/8 and be there." While that may be the case in a fast-breaking news situation or some other once-in-a-lifetime event, the fact is that shooting on vacation takes the same meticulous preparation that goes into planning one.

When you're out of the safe confines of the house or the backyard, there's a myriad of things that can stand between you and a successful shoot. I spend 6-8 months a year on the road, mostly overseas, and here are a few things I've learned about the fine art of location shooting.

The following tips are designed as an "online book." Everything here is for free, supported by advertising (such as that column on the right). You can read the pages in series like a book -- just click on the "Next page >>" link. Here it is!
