The global photography market is expected to grow by 3.8% for the next few years, according to a new report.

BCC Reasearch — a leading information resource producing high-quality market research reports, newsletters, and conferences — has published a report on “Digital Photography: Global Markets” with the following highlights:

  • The global photography market was valued at $68.4 billion in 2011 and should reach $82.5 billion in 2016, a 3.8% compound annual growth rate.
  • 55% of that market is for cameras and lenses.
  • In contrast, the photo print industry is expected to decline slightly from $25 billion in 2011 to $24.7 billion in 2016.
