Kodak — the company that popularized amateur photography — emerged from bankruptcy today (9/3/13), but not as a photography company. Cameras and film businesses have been sold off and will look for profit in commercial printing.

“We have emerged as a technology company serving imaging for business markets — including packaging, functional printing, graphic communications and professional services.”
— Antonio M. Perez, Kodak Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
