The Golden Gate Bridge from Baker Beach.

Although home to the only road north from San Francisco, the areas around the Golden Gate Bridge are remarkably pristine. They are largely undeveloped having been in military possession since 1776.

If you're tired of the crowds and want a view all to yourself, take a hike down to Baker Beach. The trail starts at some wooden stairs near Battery Cranston. Head to the north end where the sand and rocks glow in the setting sun. This is a popular nude beach so you'll have plenty of foregrounds to choose from!
