| The State Capitol building in Sacramento This magnificent rotunda is actually white in color but the setting sun, of which the Capitol has a clear view, turns it a deep gold color, appropriate since this is the 'Golden' State. The classical-revival structure was built from 1860-74, in the heyday of California's Gold Rush. A 300mm lens and tripod is used to isolate a section of the building, to make the shot simpler and more powerful. No filter was used - this is a natural color. |
