Camera stands now at photo spots
Why hasn’t someone thought of this before? (or perhaps they have?)
“On a recent trip to the popular tourist island Enoshima this week I saw that the city of Fujisawa had installed camera stands in scenic spots popular for kinen-shashin 記念写真, commemoration photos. … these camera stands rotate 360 degrees and are positioned at just the right height and distance to include everyone in the frame.”

Made by a Japanese flagpole manufacturer, the stand provides a flat table for a DSLR camera, and a vertical slot for a smartphone camera. The handy devices were recently discovered on the Japanese island of Enoshima by photographer John Sypal of Tokyo Camera Style.
Perhaps this is the new Kodak Picture Spot?
